The following I noted at an exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, 2007:
...the themes of the exhibition: the complicated longing for the spiritual escape of the mundane world, the complex relationships among sex, death and our physical being and our desires that structure our lives and rejection of their confining limitations..."

… the exhibiting of photography is something completely different than the collection and arranging of imagery. It has to do with space, proportion, dimension and substance. It almost seems that: while the photographer, as he photographs, operates only with hand and eye – in the exhibition, he gives them back their substance…
That skin as a membrane between the second and third dimension becomes metaphorical, is equally mysterious as it is logical.._S. Henke (‘Saaltext’_Oslo 8 Contemporary Photography 2012)
